(Mellieha Holiday Centre)

Through the travel agency Folke Ferie, and we booked a 70 m2 bungalow at Mellieha Holiday Centre, with a large private court yard with seating arrangements and umbrella. From the court yard a stairway leads to the rooftop terrace equipped with two tanning beds and furniture and not least a fantastic view over the surrounding Mellieha Bay.

The bungalow is designed with Danish comfort, free wi-fi and room for 6 people. The bungalow has 2 light-filled bedrooms equipped with the best mattresses and pillows in the world. In the spacious living room doors towards the court yard can be opened to create a single, huge space of living. The entire family can gather in the large corner-sofa with chairs, table and a flat screen TV. The sofa can be made up as two additional beds.

The kitchen is fully equipped following Danish standards with eg. fridge and freezer, microwave oven and coffee maker. The bathroom is spacious, equipped with a hair dryer and plenty of light from the sky-light. All bungalows are equipped with AC, which is free to use during the winter and available for a small fee in the summer.

The pool area offers plenty of deck chairs, parasols, a large and inviting swimming pool as well as a paddling pool for small children and a childrens' pool with a fountain - ideal for hours of splashning fun. The beautiful indoor pool & Spa invites relaxation, fitness and wellness. Joseph’s Bar and the pool bar are on hand for cooling drinks, snacks and entertainment.

Breakfast buffe was just fantastic, there was everything you could dream of.

Right next to Mellieha Holiday Centre you can find Għadira Nature Reserve, this seven hectare reserve comprises of brackish lake and saltmarsh habitat. Due to our dry climate in Malta, permanent areas of inland water are rare, making the Għadira wetlands an extremely important habitat for birds and other wildlife. Along the trails look out for the Sea Daffodil, Golden Samphire and Sea Lavender, as well as Mediterranean Chameleons and rabbits hiding amongst the shrubs and trees. Entrance to the reserve is free of charge but donations are welcome.
