The Paseo de Gran Canaria is located on the Calle Real. It is located on a hill where a fountain flows with a cascade of water that is 30 meters long going down the hill. Beside the cascade there are many flowering plants. The base of the cascade is made of stone. On the walls beside this there are 22 coats of arms made of tile, each one representing a municipality of Gran Canaria. Below each coat of arms there is a tile bench made in the Triana District of Seville. Above the cascade there is the Paseo de Canarias, which has a representation of each of the seven Canary Islands, showing each coat of arms in tile and showing a picture in tile also of the particular island. The whole ensemble is very colorful and is the prime tourist attraction of the town of Firgas. |
