Gran Canaria, Spain, December 2021. Jan & Jan-Jan's Rejseklubben

We desided that we needed the sun after a very cold november, so the only place we could think of with a guarantee of sun in december, and a maximun of 5 hours flying time from Copenhagen was Gran Canaria. We had booked via Spies Rejser our room at 'Hotel Servatur Don Miguel' in 'Playa del Ingles', and it was a very good hotel, with the absolutely best breakfast in any of the hotels we have stayed in Europe, fantastic. We had booked a car via 'Avis Car Rental' and picked it up at the airport, and no problems at all with 'Avis Car Rental'. But renting a car, and drive up into the mountains is just a must for everyone, the view is from up there is absolutely stunning, not at least the 'Roque Nublo' (an 67 meter monolith). Also a little tip, visit 'Puerto de Mogán' a village referred to as 'Little Venice' on account of it's many canals, and do it on a friday, where there is a very popular market which brings in tourists from all over the island.
