First trip of the year, and this time to Spain. We felt a bit down this winter and wanted the sun and warm weather, so we desided that we was going to the Canary Islands, and choose Tenerife, and not a bad choice we might add. We had rented a car that was waiting for us at the airport, and we only paid 1.000 danish kroner for a week at Hertz Car Rentel. Our hotel Bahai Flamingo, Puerto de Santiago in the south of Tenerife, was a great hotel with very good breafast every morning. Every day for a week we had around 23-28 degrees and sun, fantastic. A great place to vistít is the 'Pyramids of Güímar', who would have guessed that there was pyramides at Tenerife. Also a place worth getting a visit, is the volcano 'Teide' and 'Teide National Park'. Oh yes, the whale and dolphin trip with a boat off the coast of 'Los Gigantes', and a great experience. We also went to see the animal park 'Loro Parque', it went well in the start where we saw what the park did for the animals, but after seeing the Killer Whales (Orcas), jammed in small tanks, this was really Orca abuse at 'Loro Parque', the Orcas deserve to be free in the mighty oceans. Do not go there and support the animal cruelty, we are very sorry that we went there, and felt pretty bad after we left. And our visit to 'Loro Parque' and seeing the Orca's, is the reason we only give our trip to Tenerife 4 stars.
